Our Programme
“Nurturing Minds, Building Futures”
Experiential Learning
Experiential learning is simply 'learning by doing' rather than just through books and instructions. This hands-on approach engages students to own their own learning journey, and pushes our educators to create programmes that ensure student involvement & engagement, through creative teaching approaches. We also know the most impactful learning experiences happen when students (and the whole community) are able to activate their learning and impact the world.
Mastery-Based Learning
Our learning programs have strong Literacy, Mathematics, and Science components within this model. We believe that being knowledgeable and developing strong academic skills are essential foundations for transforming mindsets. Mastery in core subjects empowers students with the critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Clear, measurable learning goals
Ongoing feedback and support
Flexible pacing tailored to individual progress
Multiple ways to demonstrate understanding
Through this approach, we create a learning environment where every student is supported to succeed, and where mastery is not just a goal — it's the standard.
Interdisciplinary & Thematic-Based Learning
At the heart of our educational approach is a belief that real learning happens when subjects connect in meaningful ways. Our interdisciplinary and thematic-based learning model encourages students to explore big ideas across multiple subject areas, fostering deeper understanding, critical thinking, and creativity. Instead of learning each subject in isolation (like just math, just science, or just history), students connect ideas across disciplines. This makes learning more meaningful and reflective of real-world situations, where problems don't come neatly labeled as "science" or "English."
Our Learning Philosophy
At DIMS, our learning program is designed to prepare students for life beyond the classroom. We aim to equip them with the knowledge, values, and skills they need to navigate a rapidly changing world and make a meaningful, positive impact. Our approach encourages personal academic excellence while nurturing lifelong learners who are confident, capable, and purpose-driven contributors to their communities and the wider world.
The DIMS Approach to Learning
We believe that students learn more from how they are taught than what they are taught. Our learning principles are a shared set of beliefs that guide our educational framework. They are embedded in every aspect of our learning program and are grounded in the following core tenets:
What We Learn
Academics
At DIMS, we teach all subjects with the goal of fostering true understanding and meaningful learning, not just memorization for tests. Our Scope and Sequence outlines clear learning goals for every subject at each grade level. Teaching and learning are aligned with these outcomes to ensure consistency and purpose across the curriculum. We use ongoing assessment—through a variety of methods—to holistically track each student’s progress. These assessments are thoughtfully designed to align with our learner outcomes and to support continuous growth

Dove school values
As a community, we subscribe, teach, model, and honor a set of values – values – that guide us through the challenges of today. Values such as responsibility, empathy, and equality are what we believe to be of paramount importance as children continue to shape their understanding of the world as an individual and as part of a larger community.
